I had been on birth control since I had been in 8th grade (I’m currently 27) and was always told by my physicians that if I wanted to keep my ovarian cysts from occurring I needed to continue my birth control. I was later diagnosed with PCOS and once again told the only way to keep my issues at bay were to stay on my pills. After getting married and seeing my sister and quite a few friends go through so many hardships with infertility I decided it was time to get off of my birth control and finally learn how my body really works!


Before working with Lauren I almost never got a period! I would go 6-7 months without any bleed or any symptoms related to menstruation. After just two short months with Lauren I started to experience a somewhat regular cycle length and bleed. Not only did Lauren help me understand what an actual cycle consists of she also helped me understand the best foods for my body during the different phases of my cycle, and how pushing through difficult workouts is not always best! I think one of the most beneficial things I learned from Lauren was that changing my eating habits doesn’t have to be restrictive or emotional- but it’s all about putting in my body what helps me feel my actual best. And that sometimes a long walk outside with my dogs is much more beneficial to my hormones and body than a sweaty HIIT workout that I don’t enjoy in the first place! Fast forward to November 2022 I am pregnant with my first baby!!! There is no doubt that changing my eating/lifestyle habits, learning how to balance my hormones, and regaining a normal menstrual cycle contributed largely to being able to get pregnant. I am so happy I found Lauren to help me navigate my hormonal imbalances. I was experiencing significant mood swings and irritability leading up to my period as well as difficulty sleeping and weight gain. I had concerns about my future fertility and really wanted to set myself up for success in any way that I could.

Lauren was able to help me identify a lack of ovulation as the biggest driver in my hormonal imbalances. We worked together to implement small changes in my day-to-day and the foods I was eating to restore ovulation successfully! Where do I even begin with how much Lauren has helped me? Before I started working with Lauren, I was in a funk. I was irritable, had low energy, and was not showing up for my family the way I wanted to. I was completely lost when it came to nutrition and knew very little about my hormones and cycle (which was surprising and frustrating because I am 40 years old and have three kiddos). I have had the pleasure of working with Lauren for a good part of this year. I have worked with her through what has been the hardest part of my life as a new mom and after losing my father. Lauren has taught me so much as a life coach that I have improved my life through nutrition, exercise, mindfulness and hormonal health. “My stomach has NEVER FELT BETTER. I never feel nauseous or gross after eating, my periods became lighter, I was able to go off birth control and have a normal length/flow, my hormonal acne and cramping are gone!….

Lauren and I have been friends for a while now and every time she brought up “the foods you eat are impacting your gut health and periods,” I truly wrote her off. I was thinking there is no way eating fast food frequently (give me all the gluten and dairy!) were making a difference. I’ve struggled with chronic stomach issues – bloating, feeling so nauseous after eating I would throw up and indigestion for years. It got to the point where I dreaded eating because of how bad I would feel afterwards. On top of this, my periods were super heavy and if I missed two birth control pills, I’d have a full blown additional period. I finally gave in and said “Lauren, I’ll try anything.” So I eliminated dairy (90%, as I can’t stay no to a charcuterie board or queso at social events), limited by gluten intake (but did not eliminate entirely) and added in Seed Cycling. WOW! Is all I can say. My stomach has NEVER FELT BETTER. I never feel nauseous or gross after eating, my periods became lighter, I was able to go off birth control and have a normal length/flow, my hormonal acne and cramping are gone!

“ I now feel much more in tune with my body…

When I came to Lauren I’d already done a lot of work and research on diet. I’ve been suffering from IBS since I was 22 and after a long 9 years I made some good changes that helped but still had some bad symptoms. My goal working with Lauren was to tighten up my diet, eliminate inflammatory foods, and add in healthier alternatives. When I first started with Lauren I was stopping by my local gas station for candy a few times a week. Three months into the program I completely stopped. She helped me get my sugar addiction under control in a big way. She taught me how to read food labels and what to look for on the labels. I feel so much more conscious and confident about buying food now.

I was also interested in learning how to schedule my life around my monthly cycle. Work, exercise, certain foods, and seed cycling. She developed a workout schedule that was comfortable and exciting to me, taught me how to seed cycle, and guided me through my monthly cycle by having me track my cycle symptoms in an app throughout the month. I now feel much more in tune with my body.

I think the most valuable thing Lauren helped with was not giving up. I had some major ups and downs emotionally and she helped guide me through and taught me how to be consistent even in adverse situations. And if I fell off track, she was kind and understanding and helped me get back on. She taught me that life happens but if we can keep our health (both mental and physical) a priority, we can make it through even the toughest of times.

The skills, tips, and tricks I learned from Lauren will last me for the rest of my life. I would highly recommend her services to anybody looking to increase their mental and physical health, understand their monthly cycle, and create a healthy diet/exercise plan. Her knowledge is ever expanding and her commitment to her clients is undeniable.
